The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) is committed to restoring the rule of law, preventing further conflict and improving safety, security and access to affordable and equitable justice for people, particularly the poor, the vulnerable and marginalised groups.
The justice Sector Coordination Office (JSCO) is a support mechanism to GoSL's Justice Sector Strategy which sets out a holistic reform and investment strategy for the ministries, departments and agencies that together make up the justice sector.
JSCO is tasked with taking forward on a day-to-day basis the sector's newly coordinated approach to policy making, planning, budgeting and operations. It has been developed to respond on a permanent basis to the need within Government to take forward a more coherent 'sectoral' approach basis to the need within Government to take forward a more coherent 'sectoral' approach.
